We acknowledge the local and global environmental effects of our operations, from site-specific impacts to broader influences through our use of raw materials, energy consumption, and emissions into air, land, and water. Our company is dedicated to reducing these impacts to the lowest practicable levels by integrating environmental protection, pollution prevention, energy efficiency, and sustainability into our core business activities.

As a startup company our main focus is on the revolutionary technology that focuses on power generation with a sustainability mindset, to effectively manage the impacts and to meet the company objectives, a robust Environmental Management System compliant with ISO 14001:2015 standards will be implemented in the near future.

A Path
To Carbon Negative

Some of our core areas of focus that put this into perspective:

Paperless Office

We are a paperless company that focuses on not just talking about it but putting it into action. By actively adopting this way of working there are huge CO2 savings to be made. We foster the use of digital solutions over paper.

Travel

Our offices are centrally located and have a bicycle locking and fully equipped changing facilities that are designed around a low impact commute. Sine Delta is active in the encouragement of our team to use public transportation, cycle or walk to work, when necessary, our office also is equipped with access to electric car charging. For any other travel in Norway, the country itself is one of the world leaders in use of electric trains to keep emissions as low as practically possible as well as having the highest density of electric cars per capita. Sine Delta does not own any company vehicles, and any future car needs will only be met with small-footprint electric vehicles which the country is well suited for.

Recycling

Our office space has a variety of recycling initiatives across all floors in the building. All materials have a separated area from plastic to food waste that are then sent to recycling facilities.

Office Building

In 1978, the office opened its doors for the first time as the office of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. For several years, this building played a very important role in pushing Norway and the surrounding areas into the age of oil and gas.

Since then, the Smedvig building company has completed a total transformation of this historic building into a sustainable and flexible office space with a community of people focused on creating solutions for the green transition. This became a perfect location for Sine Delta as an innovative company entering the renewable energy sector.

Throughout the rebuild, the focus has been on preservation of the original building, with a view to reuse the materials, and with the addition of wood in new building components. The building has a BREAAM NOR “Very Good” certification, with a robust and reliable energy solution from geothermal energy wells and a solar installation on the roof. This puts Innoasis at the forefront when it comes to circular office space and had become the perfect location for Sine Delta in an otherwise oil&gas dominated area.

Communication

Our people communicate with one another via electronic methods as well as having the freedom to work remotely, using this work-from-home freedom further minimises the company’s overall carbon footprint by reduction in travel.
